About.

Born in 1957; grew up in Wellington. Nigel has been a full time artist since leaving a teaching profession at Cargill High School in 1997 where he was Associate Art Teacher for 7 years. 
 

He has a Fine Arts Degree from Ilam, University of Canterbury, completed in 1982, where he was tutored under Don Peebles. Since then he has exhibited regularly, winning a number of painting awards and is well represented in public and private collections throughout New Zealand and has more than 30 solo exhibitions to his name.

After living in Alexandra for 20 years, Nigel has moved to Clyde where he has an open art studio in the historic precinct where the public are welcome to view work.

 

Nigel is also a part of a 9-member group called Indigo who present and curate art exhibitions of their work.
